John Hovey of London, Carpenter 10/-; 2nd son, James Hovey, marriner, 10/0; 3nd s. John Hovey the younger, 10/-; Youngest son, Danyell Hovey, my great bible & £5; Eldest d. Thomasine Archer, w. of Francis Archer of London, glover, 10/-; 2nd d. Margarett Reade w. of Thomas Reade of London, silk weaver, 10/-; 3rd d. Jane Hovey, my greatest brass pott & £5; 4th d. Katherine Coker, w. of Roger Coker of Waltham Holy Cross, higgler, 5/-; Youngest d. Elizabeth Hovey, my greatest kettle & £5; To poor of towne of Waltham Holy Cross 10/- to be paid at day of burial by the overseers of the poor; All other movables to wife Thomasine, Also £10 and overplus of money if any after all above legacies paid. Wife sole executresse. To pay all monetary bequests on moneth day next following the day of my decease, except Danyell to be paid at 21 years and Elizabeth at 24 years or at marriage whichever is first. If any children die before their legacies are due, his, her or their shares be equally divided among survivors.
